Quick Start Guide

Get started with Nomo in minutes. Learn how to transcribe meetings and use automated bots.

  1. Go to Dashboard
  2. Click Upload Audio
  3. Select your audio file (MP3, WAV, M4A, etc.)
  4. Wait for transcription to complete
  5. Download your meeting notes

Option A: Direct Link Scheduling (Easiest)

  1. Go to Schedule Bot in the sidebar
  2. Paste your Zoom or Google Meet link
  3. Set meeting date and time
  4. Click Schedule Bot
  5. Bot joins automatically and transcribes

Option B: Calendar Integration

  1. Connect your Google Calendar
  2. View upcoming meetings
  3. Schedule a bot to join
  4. Bot automatically transcribes the meeting
  5. Download notes when ready

Schedule Bot with Direct Meeting Link

The fastest way to schedule a bot is to use a direct meeting link. No calendar connection required!

Step 1: Get Your Meeting Link

Copy your Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams meeting link. This is usually provided in your meeting invitation.

Step 2: Go to Schedule Bot Page

Click Schedule Bot in the dashboard sidebar.

Step 3: Fill in Meeting Details

  • Meeting URL: Paste your Zoom/Meet link
  • Meeting Title: Optional name to identify the meeting
  • Date & Time: When the meeting starts
  • Duration: Estimated meeting length (for credit calculation)

Step 4: Schedule the Bot

Click Schedule Bot. The bot named "Nomo" will join your meeting at the scheduled time.

Important: Make sure all meeting participants know a bot will join for transcription purposes. Some platforms require you to admit the bot from the waiting room.

Using Calendar Integration

1Connect Your Google Calendar

First, you'll need to connect your Google Calendar to Nomo:

  1. Navigate to the Calendar page from your dashboard sidebar
  2. Click the "Connect Google Calendar" button
  3. Sign in to your Google account when prompted
  4. Grant Nomo read-only access to your calendar events
  5. You'll be redirected back to the Calendar page
2View Your Synced Meetings

Once connected, your upcoming meetings will appear on the Calendar page:

  • Event Title: The name of your meeting
  • Date & Time: When the meeting is scheduled
  • Meeting Link: Zoom or Google Meet URL (if available)
  • Bot Status: Whether a bot is scheduled to join

Tip: Nomo automatically detects Zoom and Google Meet links from your calendar events. Make sure your meeting invites include the video conference link!

3Access Zoom & Google Meet Links

Your synced calendar events will show meeting links when available:

4Schedule a Bot to Join

For meetings with video conference links, you can schedule a bot to automatically join and transcribe:

  1. Find the meeting you want to transcribe on the Calendar page
  2. Look for the "Schedule Bot" toggle switch
  3. Click to enable the toggle (it will turn green)
  4. Confirm that you have permission to record the meeting
  5. The bot named "Nomo" will join at the scheduled time

Important: You are responsible for obtaining consent from all meeting participants before recording. Inform attendees that a bot will join to transcribe the meeting.

5What Happens When the Bot Joins

When your scheduled meeting time arrives:

  • A bot named "Nomo" will join the meeting
  • The bot will appear as a participant in the participant list
  • It will record and transcribe the entire meeting
  • The bot automatically leaves when the meeting ends
  • Transcription is processed using AI

Note: Some meeting platforms may ask participants to admit the bot from the waiting room. Make sure someone admits "Nomo" when it requests to join.

6Download Your Meeting Notes

After the meeting is complete:

  1. Processing typically takes 1-3 minutes after the meeting ends
  2. Go to Meeting Minutes in your dashboard
  3. Find your transcribed meeting in the list
  4. Click to view the full transcript with speaker identification
  5. Download as a formatted document if needed
Credit Usage

Understanding how credits are used:

  • Connecting Calendar: Free - no credits required
  • Bot Transcription: 1 credit per minute of meeting time
  • Manual Upload: 1 credit per minute of audio
  • Free Trial: 10 credits for new users

Common Questions

I don't see the "Connect Google Calendar" button

Calendar integration is currently in beta with limited access. If you don't have access, please contact support at support@whiletruelab.com to request approval.

My meeting doesn't show a video conference link

Make sure the calendar event includes a Zoom or Google Meet link in the event details. Ask the meeting organizer to add the conference link to the calendar invite if it's missing.

Can I cancel a scheduled bot?

Yes! Simply toggle off the "Schedule Bot" switch for that meeting before it starts. The bot will not join the meeting.

How do I know if the bot successfully joined?

You'll see "Nomo" appear in the participants list during the meeting. After the meeting, check the Meeting Minutes page to see the transcription status.
